Helvetica?

[edit]

I know my Helvetica, and I don't see how this could possibly be a reworking of it as the article states. Instead, it looks a bit more like Univers, if anything. jr98664 23:09, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Versions of Geneva?

[edit]

I've been printing lists of fonts I have installed on my computers at work (Windows) and home (Mac) and noticed that Geneva on the Mac looks quite different from the specimen given here. The 'G' doesn't have the horizontal stroke and the 'a' has more of a tail. It looks very similar to Lucida Grande. I'm going to double-check that it wasn't just a glitch in the PDF I made and sent to myself to print, but that's what I'm seeing now.

Also, any suggestions for good (free) tools to investigate the metadata stored in these fonts to determine which versions I have, exactly? On XP I'm justing using the system's font viewer. On OS X I have the system's font viewer and Linotype's FontExplorer. ⇔ ChristTrekker 15:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
